Black Horse Care Limited is committed to reducing its carbon footprint and contributing to the global efforts to combat climate change. This Carbon Reduction Plan outlines the steps we will take to measure, reduce, and offset carbon emissions across our operations, while promoting sustainability in our services and day-to-day activities.

Our company’s carbon footprint mainly stems from our vehicle fleet, energy consumption at offices and facilities, waste generation, and the supply chain associated with providing care services. This plan will focus on strategies to reduce carbon emissions across these areas.

2.Baseline Emissions Footprint

The baseline year provides a reference point against which emissions reduction progress can be measured.

Baseline Year: 2023

  • Scope 1 (Direct emissions):
    Emissions from company-owned vehicles used for client visits (petrol/diesel cars).

  • Scope 2 (Indirect emissions from purchased electricity):
    Emissions from electricity use at the head office/administrative premises.

  • Scope 3 (Indirect emissions from supply chain and other activities):

    • Purchased goods & services (medical supplies, office materials)
    • Waste disposal

This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 06/21 and the associated guidance. It has been reviewed and approved by the company’s management.
